Mom, you made me the woman I am today. Mom, you were a very, very sacrificial person who loved us and Daddy very much. Mom was a strict disciplinarian because she was a teacher by profession. Mom you sacrificed so much for me. I remember when you used to catch the bus with me when we first arrived in Abidjan. I was slow in school, Mom , you painstakingly took your time to teach me every day after school. When I was sick in Mbabungo, you dropped everything including your business to sit in a small village to take care of me for months. I thank God for a wonderful mother like you. Mom, you told me my book was my first husband and you believed so much in education that you insisted that we have our first degree before we ever introduced you to a husband. The reason you were so adamant about us girls having an education was because you never realized your dream as a medical doctor. You were so so intelligent and was the first in the North West Province to pass your entrance exam go to Saker Baptist College. That is why you insisted that we must all go to your dream school Saker. Daddy used to brag about how smart you were and how he could not marry a dull woman. Mom, you could only afford to go to WTTC and you were a great example for me to follow. Mom, you were a very beautiful woman, and the reason I love the color purple so much is because you loved it and growing up in your presence, I also loved that color. You were also a wonderful cook and taught me how to keep a home. You made me get up early and dragged me to the kitchen from age nine. You meant everything to me and you confided in me. I love you so much and my heart is broken that you have left your Afa. I remember how you trained me to go to the market and how to negotiate. You had so much wisdom and also foresaw into the future. You were a financial powerhouse and had great advice for us girls. You fought a good fight while sick and now you are in the bosom of our heavenly Father. Say hello to your sweetheart. I am who I am today because of you. I love you Mom. You are forever in my heart!!
